摘要: Abstract Aims Clinical experience suggests that atherosclerotic disease is common in individuals with coeliac disease, but epidemiological studies have had contradicting findings. To summarise the currently available evidence, we systematically reviewed and analysed observational of association or dermatitis herpetiformis coronary heart (CHD) stroke. Data synthesis We searched for comparing CHD stroke outcomes without herpetiformis. Three investigators independently electronic databases, identified relevant extracted data. Study-specific results were combined random-effects meta-analyses, heterogeneity was quantified using I 2 statistic meta-regression. Twenty-one included our systematic review 18 meta-analyses. For CHD, pooled hazard ratio incident 1.05 (95% confidence interval (CI): 0.93, 1.19) overall standardised mortality 1.21 (0.99, 1.49). brain haemorrhage, corresponding estimates 1.10 CI: 1.00, 1.21) 1.43 (0.97, 2.10), respectively. There moderate to considerable among study-specific estimates. In addition, many based on small numbers they limitations terms adjustment potential confounders. Conclusion Our meta-analyses lend some support an between cerebrovascular evidence base heterogeneous limitations. highlighted a need this area adequately powered prospective appropriate potentially confounding factors.
