摘要: Recent landmark studies show that it is now possible to convert somatic cells, such as skin fibroblasts and B lymphocytes, into pluripotent stem cells closely resemble embryonic cells. These induced (iPS) can be generated without using human embryos or oocytes, thus bypassing some of the ethical issues have limited use stems (hES) Additionally, they derived from patient treated, thereby overcoming problems immunological rejection associated with allogeneic hES cell progenitors. Whilst these patient-specific iPS great clinical potential, their immediate utility likely in drug screening for understanding disease process. This review discusses promise well challenges clinic.
