摘要: We measured penetration of solar radiation into snow at various times the year with a spectral radiometer. found that light absorption obeys y = axn law where n varies from 0.71 to 2.10. The coefficient decreases increasing density. 1% surface value total energy occurs depth approximately 18 cm in winter, maximum 110 late summer when density is near its maximum. Penetration 0.1% shown coincide approximate date and pack for first spring bloom algae, implying may initiate germination overwintering stages.
