摘要: Descriptions of 24 species cryophylous algae and 3 microfungi are given. Ten these new records for the algal flora continental North America. The organisms grouped in Chlamydomonas nivalis were found to be by far most common member red snow flora, being every area Pacific Northwest from which collections made. Green is described Olympic National Park, having as its causative agent either yellowstonensis, or other had lost characteristic masking (red-to-yellow pigmentation) a result population developing shade. Other members snow's included following genera: Scotiella, Chodatella, Raphidonemiia, Tetraedron, Mycanthococcus, Stichococcus, Chlorosphaera, Protococcus, Gloeothece Ronieria. fungi identified are: Selenotila nivalis, Chionaster bicornis. Kol's silicotrophic-calcitrophic theory relates green vegetation types underlying rock composition evaluated, it concluded that there no sound reason this correlation. It suggested degree illumination more important factor determining distribution pigmented organisms.
