摘要: Abstract The snow alga, Chloromonas pichinchae, was found for the first time since its initial discovery in 1892. Gametes, syngamy, and planozygotes are reported this species. Non-motile vegetative cells zygotes different from those literature. resemble Scotiella tatrae, suggesting that other species of may be resting spores life histories Volvocalean algae. Environmental physical factors pertaining to developmental stages alga discussed.
