摘要: Abstract Palaeoclimate changes in the North Atlantic region during last glacial–interglacial transition (LGIT) were not only abrupt but also spatially complex: major climate shifts appear to have been time transgressive, with some areas experiencing cooling at same as others warming. The construction of data bases palaeoclimatic information for this period is therefore far from straightforward, and requires exacting procedures quantitative reconstruction, well dating correlation site records. High-precision correlations events that occurred within LGIT are, however, difficult effect using conventional methods radiocarbon dating, biostratigraphy lithostratigraphy. One method offers considerable potential solving issues chronology correlation, testing ideas about non-synchronous responses variations LGIT, tephrochronology. Recent discoveries high concentrations micro-tephra particles sequences northern Europe extend over which high-precision will be possible.
