EFFECT OF GENOTYPE ON THE in vitro REGENERATION OF Stevia rebaudiana VIA SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS

摘要: Stevia rebaudiana (Asteraceae) is a plant of economic importance because its medicinal properties and the presence sweetener compounds on leaves. These can be substitute for sucrose in wide variety products used by persons with diabetes obesity problems. To standardize an efficient effective propagation method different genotypes grown Colombia, this study evaluated effect combinations growth regulators 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), indole-3-acetic (IAA), indole-3-butyric (IBA), 6-(gamma, gamma-dimethylallylamino) purine (2iP) Zeatin induction development somatic embryos. The combination 2,4-D (18.09 µM) 2iP (7.38 produced highest number embryos per explant, which had well-defined characteristics. genotype showed significant embryogenic response. In "SRQ-93" genotype, formation was achieved, whereas "Bertoni" "Morita II" only yielded non-embryogenic calli, respectively. conversion to seedlings achieved regeneration containing gibberellic (GA3) (0.29 activated charcoal.
