摘要: We explored the patterns of intra- and interpopulation variation in flower morphology red mangrove, Rhizophora mangle. Twelve populations Mexico were studied: five from Gulf Caribbean Sea, seven Pacific Coast. Six metric floral attributes measured a sample 1370 flowers. Significant differences among found for all six attributes. Because correlated, scores derived principal factor analysis used to describe morphology. Two factors explained essentially variance Corolla calyx size had strong effect on 1, while gynoecium higher 2. Nested analyses both revealed significant coasts, within plants populations. Nonetheless, this cannot be as result clinal variation, indicated by series regression analyses. Cluster (UPGMA) showed that population coast was clustered together with those Atlantic, arrangement each no evident geographical pattern. propose frequent events extinction recolonization few individuals, followed selfing, may produce differentiation mangrove.
