摘要: ABSTRACT The authors investigated the relation of activities daily living (ADL) and social support satisfaction to illness status 10 years later among 4,870 married older adults in Health Retirement Study (F. Juster & R. Suzman, 1995). tested direct indirect effects 1992 ADL, as well family friends spousal on 2002 status. hierarchical multiple regressions found, controlling for status, ADL protected against future illness, had small, surprisingly positive, greater illness. × Family Friends Support Satisfaction Spousal crossproduct interactions were also small positive predictors discuss several possible mechanisms that explained this unexpected result. concluded that, depending whether recipient is need de...
