摘要: Infection by Leptospira interrogans has been causally associated with human and equine uveitis. Studies in our laboratories have demonstrated that leptospiral lipoprotein LruA LruB are expressed the eyes of uveitic horses, antibodies directed against react lenticular retinal extracts, respectively. These reactivities were investigated further performing immunofluorescent assays on tissue sections. Incubation lens sections LruA-antiserum LruB-antiserum resulted positive fluorescence. By employing two-dimensional gel analyses followed immunoblotting mass spectrometry, proteins cross-reacting antiserum identified to be α-crystallin B vimentin. Similarly, spectrometric β-crystallin B2 as protein LruB-antiserum. Purified recombinant vimentin recognized LruA-directed antiserum, but not control pre-immune serum. Recombinant was likewise LruB-directed Moreover, eye fluids contained significantly higher levels antiibodies B, than did normal fluids. Our results indicate share immuno-relevant epitopes proteins, suggesting cross-reactive antibody interactions antigens may contribute immunopathogenesis Leptospira-associated recurrent
