摘要: Abstract Energy is a critical issue for Africa, where large number of people do not have access to energy. recovery from waste can play role in minimising the impact Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) on environment with additional benefit providing local source This study was carried out assess, at African level, which could energy citizens and provides an estimate total potential incineration landfill gas (LFG). The results show all generated Africa 1125 PJ 2012 2199 PJ 2025. Nevertheless, if through LFG considered, about 155 PJ be recovered 363 PJ 2025 actually collected, or projected considered. electricity generation reach 62.5 TWh 122.2 TWh 2025, case full collection, compared consumption 661.5 TWh 2010. If collected these estimates decrease respectively 34.1 TWh 83.8 TWh Apart continental estimates, detailed information country level vision spatial distribution based city population major cities.
