摘要: One of the fundamental questions in global climate negotiations is: what level “ambition”, terms collective emission reductions, is needed to protect climate? To help answer this question UNEP and scientific community have published a series reports on “emissions gap1” since 2010. Of particular interest ambition is the gap 2020 between emission levels consistent with the 2oC climate target emissions projected if country reduction pledges are fulfilled. If there gap, then is doubt that countries great enough meet the agreed-upon 2oC target In 2010 Emissions Gap Report, scientists indicated that there would likely be substantial 2020, although estimates ranged widely, depending on assumptions about how country complied with. In 2011 Bridging Report, scientists noted technical potential existed to close 2020, but fast action by was needed. UNEP has now convened group 55 and experts from 43 groups across 22 to produce third report which covers the following: • An update greenhouse gas estimates, based number different authoritative scientific sources; • overview national levels, both current (2010) (2020) current pledges other commitments; • estimate consistent with two degree 2030 2050; • assessment for 2020; • A review selected examples rapid progress being made parts world to implement policies already leading substantial emission reductions. These could contribute significantly narrowing they scaled up and replicated countries.
