摘要: Abstract In metal industries (aluminum, steel,…), the flatness defects of thin strips can be corrected by pure tension leveling. This process is able to minimize residual stresses from rolling step plastically lengthening sheet. paper introduces a numerical modeling strip conveying through simplified industrial leveler (composed four rolls), using commercial FEM software. It includes shell elements discretization and frictional contact between rolls. From plastic strains width thickness, final shape predicted. The Finite Element model shows how an entering with defect (manifested or latent) transformed at exit: waves are decreased longitudinal gap reduced.
