摘要: Bloodstream forms of Trypanosoma brucei gambiense and rhodesiense are incapable de novo purine synthesis. Purine bases converted directly to ribonucleotides with the exception guanine, stable. Guanine is incorporated into also deaminated xanthine. ribonucleosides hydrolyzed rapidly; these reactions may limit their incorporation since label nucleotide pools more efficiently than do ribonucleosides. The apparent order salvage efficiency for adenosine greater inosine guanosine xanthosine both organisms. T. b. salvages in same order, while hypoxanthine adenine guanine
