摘要: We investigated levels of maternal cytokines in late pregnancy relation to the subsequent development adult schizophrenia and other psychoses their offspring. The sample included mothers 27 adults with psychotic illnesses 50 matched unaffected controls from Providence cohort Collaborative Perinatal Project. Serum samples were analyzed for interleukin 1 beta (IL-1-β), 2 (IL-2), 6 (IL-6), 8 (IL-8), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) by enzyme immunoassay. Maternal TNF-α significantly elevated among case series (t = 2.22, p .04), evidence increasing odds psychosis higher cytokine levels. did not find significant differences between control serum IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, or IL-8. These data support previous clinical investigations reporting infections during as a potential risk illness
