A test of self-determination theory with wheelchair basketball players with and without disability.

摘要: Guided by Self-Determination Theory (SDT), the present study examined sport motivation and coping skills of male female wheelchair basketball players with without disability (N = 72). In line SDT, results showed that intrinsic extrinsic as well amotivation was found to be in this sample players. Results also demonstrated participants surveyed scored higher on self-determined types than non motivation, thus replicating past research athletes disability. Furthermore, did not differ significantly respect skills, suggesting they are more alike dissimilar. Finally, revealed is associated enhanced psychological functioning.
