Adenovirus infection enhances killing of melanoma cells by a mitotoxin

摘要: Toxins are effective in cell killing if internalized efficiently. Conjugation of the plant toxin saporin with basic fibroblast growth factor has increased tumor due to better internalization, but uptake by cells remained relatively inefficient. We show here that infection melanoma a replication-defective adenovirus enhances mitotoxin factor-saporin more than 10-fold, thus allowing vivo at nontoxic concentrations. Adenovirus leads apoptosis enhanced internalization ligand-receptor complex and release active from endosomes.
