摘要: Implanting electrical devices in the nervous system to treat neural diseases is becoming very common. The success of these brain-machine interfaces depends on electrodes that come into contact with tissue. Here we show conventional tungsten and stainless steel wire can be coated carbon nanotubes using electrochemical techniques under ambient conditions. nanotube coating enhanced both recording stimulation neurons culture, rats monkeys by decreasing electrode impedance increasing charge transfer. Carbon nanotube-coated are expected improve current electrophysiological facilitate development long-lasting interface devices.
