Poverty reduction in resource‐rich developing countries: what have multinational corporations got to do with it?

摘要: Corporate social responsibility is a two edged-sword. It can be used to address the needs of disadvantaged communities, or damage same whether by mistake design. Based on critical analysis role both government and Shell in Nigeria towards poverty alleviation Niger Delta, this paper firmly supports view that even though business may share for economic development, primary assignment still wealth creation. The government's main charge represent society ensure equitable distribution among various stakeholders.
