摘要: Rationale Secondary organic aerosols (SOAs) represent a significant portion of total atmospheric aerosols. They are generated by the oxidation volatile compounds (VOCs), and particularly biogenic VOCs (BVOCs). The analysis such samples is usually performed targeted methods that often require time-consuming preparation steps can induce loss and/or sample contaminations. Methods Recently, untargeted using high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) have been successfully employed for broad characterization chemicals in SOAs. Herein we propose new application direct real time (DART) ionization method combined with HRMS to quickly detect several hundred SOAs collected on quartz filter without or separation techniques. Results reproducibility measurements was good, elemental compositions common three different replicates. relative standard deviations intensities chemical families ranged from 6% 35%, sufficient sensitivity allow unambiguous detection 4 ng/mm2 pinic acid. presence oligomers specific tracers highlighted MSn (n ≤ 4) experiments, an achievement difficult attain other ultrahigh-resolution spectrometers. Contributions this DART-HRMS were illustrated fresh aged gaseous precursors as limonene, β-pinene/limonene mixture scots pines emissions. Conclusions results show it possible use identification aging reactions, precursors.
