摘要: The seawater intrusion process is characterized by the difference in freshwater and density that causes to float on seawater. Many confined aquifers have a large horizontal extension with respect thickness. In these cases, while buoyancy acts vertical direction, flow between upper bottom boundaries effect of gravity controlled variations aquifer elevation. Therefore, effective slope shape boundaries. Variability topography one case where 3D analysis necessary. this work, density-dependent processes caused geometry are studied numerically specifically, considering lateral Sub-horizontal circulation cells formed saltwater entering aquifer. penetration can be quantified dimensionless number measures relative flux. wedge more than thickness dispersivity. Thus, must taken into account order accurately evaluate intrusion.
