摘要: The availability of effective interventions to prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission and the significant reduction in number HIV-infected infants United States have led concept that elimination (EMCT) is possible. Goals for are presented. We also present a framework by which efforts can be coordinated, beginning with comprehensive reproductive health care (including testing) real-time case-finding pregnancies women, conducted through following: facilitation clinical social services women infants; case review community action; allowing continuous quality research prevention long-term follow-up HIV-exposed thorough data reporting surveillance EMCT evaluation.
