摘要: We use recent population projections to describe briefly the process of demographic ageing expected occur in Canadian province Quebec between 2010 and 2056. next provide a quantitative assessment consequences transition by projecting Quebec’s budgetary balance until A problem fiscal sustainability is quickly identified. then examine how sensitive projection results are economic assumptions. Finally, we explore significance assuming that health expenditures last year life several times larger than for survivors. Under this alternative assumption, spending decreases small, but significant, amount long run.
