摘要: BACKGROUND In the treatment of keloids, recurrence after surgical excision is relatively high. Various types adjuvant therapy such as radiotherapy and corticosteroid injection have been used to reduce recurrence. OBJECTIVE The aim this study was determine appropriate time for initiating postoperative analyze factors associated with occurrence keloids. METHODS Of these 37 lesions, 22 were located in ear lobe, 6 helix auricle, 4 on shoulder, 3 chest wall, 2 abdomen. Causative piercings (n=24), trauma (n=5), previous lesions or bacillus Calmette-Guerin vaccination (n=3) acne (n=2). Radiation initiated within 24 h between 72 more than 7 lesions. RESULTS Seven recurred, including 5 recurrences high stretch-tension regions (p=0.010). Initial treatments administered 1 lesion (p<0.0001). 19 patients family histories, maternal paternal genetic predispositions present 14 patients, respectively (p=0.033). CONCLUSION Radiotherapy should be excision. Location a region significantly Patients history showed significant tendency toward predisposition. Therefore, combination considered careful observation required.
