摘要: The objective of the present study was to assess hepatoprotective potential Courouptia guianensis flower extract against N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) induced hepatocellular damage. Hepatotoxicity in albino rats by intraperitoneal injection single dose 200 mg/kg. Intraperitoneal significantly elevated levels liver injury markers and cancer such as alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), Total bilirubin (TB), α-feto protein (AFP) carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) respectively. oxidative stress confirmed lipid peroxidation decreased superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), reductase (GR) glutathione-S-transferase (GST) tissue. status non-enzymatic antioxidants like, vitamin-C vitamin- E were also found be admininistered rats. However, post-treatment with 200 mg/kg 400 mg/kg orally for 30 days exhibited a significant protective effect lowering markers. On other hand, treatment extent able normalize activities enzymatic liver. Gross examination histological observations tissue too correlated biochemical observations. These findings suggest that possess property N-nitrosodiethylamine-induced damage which might due stabilization increase all components antioxidant system attributed free radical scavenging activity.
