摘要: Various extracts of the flowers Couroupita guianensis Aubl. (Family-Lecythidaceae) were evaluated for potential immunomodulatory activity using in vitro polymorphonuclear leukocyte function test (human neutrophils). The methanol extract was vivo studies, rats as animal model. tested hypersensitivity and hemagglutination reactions, sheep red blood cells (SRBC) antigen. Distilled water served a control all tests. successive exhibited significant increase percentage phagocytosis versus control. In found to exhibit dose related reaction, SRBC antigen, at concentration 100 200 mg/kg studies. stimulate cell mediated antibody immune responses rats. It also enhanced phagocytic human neutrophils, vivo.
