摘要: Abstract Tiaramide N-oxide, a major metabolite of tiaramide, is reduced anaerobically to tiaramide by rat liver microsomes. The reaction requires NADPH and inhibited oxygen carbon monoxide. Both phenobarbital 3-methylcholanthrene treatments induced the reductase activity with increasing cytochrome P-450 content. N-oxide produced pronounced spectral change difference spectrum showed peak absorbance at 442 nm. These findings provide evidence in support an essential role for process reduction.
