摘要: Abstract Background p63, a member of p53 family, known to be expressed in embryonic tissues and basal regenerative layers many epithelial the adult, is also various benign malignant lesions body including oral cavity. To evaluate expression p63 compare qualitatively quantitatively normal buccal mucosa, dysplasia, submucous fibrosis (OSMF), squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Methods The study material consisted 45 archival cases which were divided into Group I with 5 II 15 III 10 OSMF OSCC. Immunohistochemical was assessed by using mean, standard deviation, analysis variance. Results Overexpression seen OSMF, an increased suprabasal dysplasia. mean labeling index (LI) found increasing order from mucosa (33.75%), (57.37%), dysplasia (63.87%) (69.76%). Conclusion results suggest possible role carcinogenesis, LI as well this gene dysplastic may have potential utilized marker for premalignancy.
