摘要: Artificial antiferromagnets and synthetic metamagnets have attracted much attention recently due to their potential for many different applications. Under some simplifying assumptions these systems can be modeled by thin Ising metamagnetic films. In this paper we study, using both the Wang/Landau scheme importance sampling Monte Carlo simulations, equilibrium properties of On one hand discuss microcanonical density states its prominent features. other analyze canonically various global layer quantities. We obtain phase diagram as a function temperature external magnetic field. Whereas bulk system only exhibits transition between antiferromagnetic paramagnetic phases, includes an additional intermediate where surface layers has aligned itself with direction applied This is discontinuous ends in critical end point. Consequently, it possible gradually go from without passing through transition.
