摘要: A computerized foot pressure activated sensory compensation system using sub-sensory electrical stimulation combined with visual-auditory biofeedback was developed. The proposed used for enhancing standing balance and gait performance amputees. In this pilot study, we hypothesized that the static single limb support during treadmill walking could be improved by providing proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in amputee respectively. To test hypothesis, five unilateral trans-tibial amputees who consecutively wore prosthetics over two years were recruited. Experimental results show reduction all of postural sway indices increase leg time index quiet applying stimulation. With clue heel contact toe push off condition ambulation, improvement four dynamic verified. These findings suggest mechanisms may effective compensating loss improving posture control
