摘要: Iron has long been implicated in many neurological and other organ diseases. It is known that over above the normal increases iron with age, certain diseases there an excessive accumulation brain liver. MRI a noninvasive means by which to image various structures three dimensions quantify volume of object interest. The quantification can provide information about severity iron-related as well changes for patient follow-up treatment monitoring. This article provides overview current MRI-based methods quantification, specifically liver, including: signal intensity ratio, R2 , R2*, R2', phase, susceptibility weighted imaging quantitative mapping (QSM). Although are numerous approaches measuring iron, R2* currently preferred liver QSM become approach brain. Level evidence 5 Technical Efficacy: Stage J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2018. MAGN. RESON.
