摘要: Purpose To determine whether R2* values are a consistent predictor of hepatic iron concentration (HIC) in thalassemia patients by demonstrating correlation between relaxation rates and FerriScan-determined HIC. Materials Methods Eighty-eight with major were retrospectively evaluated. All underwent FerriScan imaging multiecho gradient echo imaging. The results from analysis fitted against estimates using linear regression. Results There was very strong HIC (Spearman 0.976; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.963, 0.984). Conclusion R2* can predict determined calibration curve. This technique may provide potentially cost-saving alternative for determination improve acceptance referring physicians. J. Magn. Reson.
