摘要: Various biomaterials have been used for bone repair and reconstruction of defects. Inorganic xenogenic substitutes intensively studied because they possesses favorable regenerative properties. The purpose this study was to evaluate the properties a novel inorganic substitute, sintered ostrich cancellous (SOCB). Bone regeneration capability also comparing that other in rabbit calvarial Biochemical biomechanical SOCB ceramic closely resembled those human bone. evaluated by radiograph, histology, histomorphometry. significantly enhanced defects treated with when compared substitutes. biochemical are regeneration. might be promising biomaterial © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
