摘要: tempts have been made to determine the most economical method for this activity reduction. These attempts included slurrying with powdered metal by Lacy,1 chemical coagulation Silker,2 and Setter Russell,3 ion exchange on synthetic resins Moeller his associates,4 Swope,6 Swope Anderson.6 One of practical methods reduction is that clay as described Lacy.7 Good results obtained addition in conventional water treatment processes such limesoda ash softening. A majority clays under investigation or use today require pretreatment before they are suitable use. The chosen experiment were Yazoo Zilpha clays. abundant throughout state Mississippi may be easily mined near surface. If these untreated decontamination properties comparable those other treated clays, cost per gallon removing radioactive materials could materially reduced. As literature concerning slurries reviewed, it observed each particular must slurried radioisotope any conclusion overall effectiveness inferred. This study was limited three radioisotopes : Co60, Sr90, Cs137. radionuclides selected be-
