Putting people first: A primary health care success in rural India

摘要: Background: The World Health Report, 2008, contains a global review of primary health care on the 30th anniversary Declaration Alma-Ata. period covered by study reported here corresponds with that allowing for comparison achievements and challenges in one centre vis-a-vis WHO standards. Materials Methods: This uses qualitative quantitative data from rural facility Western Maharashtra, collected over three decades. It analyzes four groups reforms defined context facility. Results: According to systems developing countries have not responded adequately people's needs. However, our in-depth observations revealed substantial progress several areas, including family planning, safe deliveries, immunization promotion. Satisfaction services area was high. Conclusion: Adequate is possible, even when all recommended are fully place.
