摘要: Sharpsnout bream (Diplodus puntazzo) has been used in Adriatic aquaculture for less than a decade, but the decreasing trend of rearing this species will probably result its complete substitution by more exploited sea (Sparus aurata). Only two facilities still rear both fish neighbouring cages monoculture. A switch parasites was observed between sparids during monitoring gill monogeneans farmed fish. In wild Sea, Lamellodiscus elegans (Monogenea: Monopisthocotylea) previously reported annular annularis), and two-banded (D. vulgaris) sharpsnout puntazzo), present study confirmed presence also bream, low prevalence abundance. The exclusively monogenean Sparicotyle chrysophrii Polyopisthocotylea) isolated from showing abundance values even higher resident host. occurrence L. opportunistic resulted lower original host, while second case switching S. showed better reproductive capacity on new host (sharpsnout bream). Both cases point to possible enlargement parasite range.
