摘要: The purpose of the present study is to investigate longitudinal changes in Visual evoked potential (VEP) parameters as an objective test after transsphenoidal surgery, its correlation with subjective tests and clinical value VEP prediction visual outcome. Fifty patients pituitary macroadenoma who underwent surgical removal tumor recruited this study. All ophthalmic examination, static automated perimetry (SAP), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) preoperatively 3 months surgery. (size: 25.1 ± 9.9 mm) were Before pattern showed a prolonged latency reduced amplitude eyes abnormal acuity or field. P100 wave latencies amplitudes significant SAP scores. After field improvements seen 51% 65.6% eyes, respectively. Mean scores increased significantly (p < 0.01), declined improved surgery but not significantly. mean age patients, size tumors preoperative lower improvement. helpful quantitative complementary exams for assessing pre-operative abnormalities post-operative outcome macroadenoma.
