摘要: The ocular toxicity of liposome-intercalated amphotericin B and commercial were compared after intravitreal injection in healthy pigmented rabbits. Ophthalmoscopic observations over 5 weeks following a single showed vitreal band formation focal retinal damage doses as low micrograms. Such lesions not seen animals given liposomal up to 20 Histopathologic examination areas atrophy or necrosis five 16 rabbits 5-20 micrograms but none the same (P = 0.02). Small white bodies clinically virtually all "empty" (drug-free) liposomes only few B; these deposits may represent residual lipid. Concentrations ranged from 0.4 1.0 per ml vitreous humor either formulation. These studies indicate that liposome association markedly reduces B.
