摘要: A theoretical treatment of ionization in atomic collisions is developed for quantum-mechanical and semiclassical relative motions. It based on a molecular-wave-function expansion containing both discrete continuum spectrum states. The discretized by further expansion, which leads to normalizable ''electronic state packets.'' procedure described calculate scattering amplitudes that avoids having orthogonalize states all the (usually unknown) ones.
