摘要: Present study was aimed to find out the Lernaea susceptibility, infestation and its treatment in indigenous major exotic Chinese carps under polyculture system. 450 fishes were reared 0.5 acre ponds at Fish Pond Complex, Department of Fisheries Aquaculture, University Veterinary Animal Sciences, Ravi Campus Pattoki parasitic load checked for month June, July August. Five specimens each species caught on fortnightly basis examined presence cyprinacea different body parts. The parasites removed, preserved 5% formalin identified. Intensity highest Catla catla followed by Hypophthalmichthys molitrix Ctenopharyngodon idella June. Highest number (100) counted lowest Labeo rohita Cirrhinus mrigala after Cyprinus carpio which did not showed any parasite behave as most resistant among Indian carps. Treatment with Thunder however, reduce infection a large extend end experiment all became free parasite. Abdomen prevalent site attachment gills caudal fins whereas head least.
