摘要: ABSTRACT Indian and Chinese carps, Labeo rohita, Catla catla; Ctenopharyngodon idella; Hypophthalmichthys molitrix andAristichthys nobilis were obtained from Punjab University Fish Research farms Lahore. These fishes examined forparasitic infection, lernaeasis. Lernaea cyprinacea (L.) was the most prevalent parasite infecting these five fish species(comprising 88.48-100% population). In addition to L. cyprinacea; polymorpha (Y u, 1938); oryzophila(Monod, 1932) found on rohita C. idella. ctenopharyngodonis idella only.Prevalence of 68.9% 63.6% in catla respectively 78.1% 66.7% A.nobilis 9.1% H. molitrix. Mean intensity 17.3; 9.2; 6.91; 1.0 3.0 respectively. Theprevalence highest February which dropped towards April. The abdomen base pectoral, pelvic analfin seem common site attachment than any other area body fish. As52.05 57.80% parasites attached here. diversity infection carps reared earthen ponds undersemi-intensive culture conditions are discussed. Keywords: cyprinacea, diversity; culturable carps.
