摘要: Rationale and Objectives To analyze the trends in international medical graduates (IMGs) matching into diagnostic radiology residency programs United States (US). Materials Methods The National Resident Match Program data was accessed for years 2005–2020 residency-specific extracted US MD, osteopathic (DO), IMG applicants. IMGs were categorized US-citizen non-US citizen per Residency Program. Variables collected each year included number of positions, applicants group, positions filled/unfilled, fill rate group. Additional some USMLE Step 1 score, Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) 2 clinical knowledge (CK) research experiences, abstracts/publications, additional degrees obtained. Trends analyzed using simple linear regression model p value Results increased from 203 (2006) to 212 (2020). total 1011 1113 (2020), with peak 1145 2014. overall “match rate,” that is, proportion filled available, 96.4% 97.3% a brief decline 86.7% 2015. Among by school significantly declined 89.7% 69.2% (2020) (p Conclusion There is an increasing IMGs, especially last decade. Diagnostic remains competitive specialty evidenced average scores higher than national experiences matched candidates.
