摘要: ] We compare historical global temperature time series, based on bias-adjusted sea-surface temperatures with inde-pendent series, for the upper 20 meter layerof ocean based latest update of an historicalhydrographic profile data set. Despite two underlyingdata sets being different in number points, instru-mentation and applied adjustments, both seriesare consistent showing overall warming since 1900.We also extend records change upper400 m back to 1900. Noting that geographic coverage islimited prior 1950, 0–400 mlayer is characterized by periods increasebetween 1900 1940–45 between 1970 2003,separatedbyaperiodoflittlechange.
