摘要: Lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activity has been suggested to play an important role in the regulation of lipid metabolism. The present study was undertaken examine any relationship between LCAT and altered cholesterol levels plasma full-term preterm newborn infants. Plasma total, free esterified cholesterol, total phospholipid (cholesterol esterified, nmol/ml per h) were determined placental cord blood. There a significant negative gestational age. increased with prematurity due both cholesterol. also but not levels. no esterified-to-free ratio activity. Total significantly related either age or This suggests that reduced may be one factors result accumulation premature
