摘要: Abstract 53 samples of FD & C Yellow No. 5 (tartrazine; Colour Index 19140) were examined for combined benzidine. These samples, which represent separate lots from 12 dye distributors, submitted to the US FDA certification between 28 February 1990 and 27 June 1991. A method was developed reduce matrix with dithionite so that benzidine present in form azo or disazo dyes would be converted free Reduction followed by extraction, diazotization coupling pyrazolone T, total quantitated as benzidine-pyrazolone T (BZPT) HPLC detection at 500 nm. The limit quantitation this is ng/g. 25 found contain 7–83 ng/g released reduction, 23 these same manufacturer. identity BZPT two confirmed spectral analysis using a photodiode array detector.
