摘要: The delivery of therapeutic proteins is one the greatest challenges in treatment human diseases. In this frame, ferritins occupy a very special place. Thanks to their hollow spherical structure, they are used as modular nanocages for anticancer drugs. More recently, possibility encapsulating even small with enzymatic or cytotoxic activity emerging. Among all ferritins, particular interest paid Archaeoglobus fulgidus one, due its peculiar ability associate/dissociate physiological conditions. This protein has also been engineered allow recognition receptors and vitro extremely promising results.
