摘要: Summary Staphylococcus aureus produces numerous bi-component toxins, e.g., Panton-Valentine leukocidin (Luk-PVL) and γ-haemolysin, which consist of type S F proteins. Previous studies showed that Luk-PVL induces inflammatory mediator release from human granulocytes might reflect the in-vivo effects, dermonecrosis by Luk-PVL. Clinical isolates not only harbour two genes coding for (S-protein: LukS-PVL, F-protein: LukF-PVL) but also three encoding γ-haemolysin HlgA, HlgB; HlgC). The interaction all possible potential toxins with was studied regard to generation oxygen metabolites (chemiluminescence response), enzyme activity (β-glucuronidase) histamine as well interleukin (IL)-8 generation. data clearly show individual subunits (S, F) differ in their activities. following activities were obtained components: LukS-PVL > HlgC HlgA: components LukF-PVL HlgB similarly active. Thus, LukS-PVL/LukF-PVL LukS-PVL/HlgB most potent inducers granulocytes, followed HlgC/LukF-PVL HlgC/HlgB a lesser degree HlgA/LukF-PVL HlgA/HlgB. indicate class are interchangeable give genuine biological
