摘要: Reactive in-mold coating (IMC) products have been used successfully for many years to improve the surface quality of Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) compression molded parts. IMC provides a smooth, sealed as conductive or non-conductive primer subsequent finished painting operations. The success SMC parts has recently attracted interest thermoplastic injection molders. potential environmental and economic benefits using and, in ideal case, replace completely are large. Most optimization studies Polymer Processing involve compromise between different performance measures. In most cases controllable variables conflicting effect on relevant is not exception. These measures need be balanced, each against other, order obtain best compromise. will depend final part requirements. this work, use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) explored identify compromises among several We selected two case illustrate technique. first we apply DEA select locations nozzles optimize second study simultaneous cycle time, quality, dimensional consistency aimed demonstrate application with simple example; fact, such example could identified graphically. however, an where multidimensionality problem makes critical elicit proper solution.
