Aluminum inclusions and precipitates in restacked exfoliated MoS2

摘要: Exfoliated MoS{sub 2} (separated into single monomolecular layers suspended in solution) is restacked with aluminum ions available. Results suggest that the can be included as a monolayer between layers, precipitated Al(OH){sub 3}, or present AlO{sub 2}{sup {minus}} (presumably sodium aluminate). X-ray diffraction measurements are reported to distinguish among various forms. pH variations during flocculation and drying vary pattern. Surprisingly it found inclusion method (rather than coprecipitation method) seems yield catalyst higher surface area (CO{sub adsorption), active (CO catalytic activity for our test reaction, methanation.
