摘要: Ketogenic diets (KDs) have gained popularity among patients and researchers alike due to their putative anti-tumor mechanisms. However, the question remains which conclusions can be drawn from available human data thus far concerning safety efficacy of KDs for cancer patients. A realist review utilizing a matrix analytical approach was conducted according RAMESES publication standards. All studies were systematically analyzed supplemented with results animal studies. Evidence confirmation treated as separate concepts. In total, 29 24 included in analysis. The majority (72%) yielded evidence an effect KDs. Evidential support such effects humans weak limited individual cases, but probabilistic argument shows that strengthen belief hypothesis at least some individuals. pro-tumor lacking completely. Feasibility has been shown various contexts. probability achieving seems greater than causing serious side when offering Future controlled trials would provide stronger or against hypothesis.
